This is the update we got this morning. The past few days we were really hopeful that she was going to pull through. However, this update isn't as hopeful. Please pray with us!
UPDATE:
Mom is now completely off of the breathalyzer and oxygen. She is breathing on her own.
However, they say that her breathing is not efficient enough to sustain herself long-term. We know that this is due to the damage done to her brain stem, which cannot be repaired.
She is holding on, but we are told it is only for a time, and we do not know for how long.
At this point in the journey, there are three things you can pray for.
1) You can continue to pray for a miracle. This continues to be Mom's only hope of recovery.
and/or
2) You can pray that Mom will go home quickly and painlessly.
3) Pray for Dad.
We as a family are extremely grateful for those of you who have walked this road with us. Without a doubt we have felt the love of God through your words and actions.
